Machaela Croft

Owner & Co-Artistic Director

Toronto-based educator, choreographer and performer with a BFA Specialized Honours in Dance from York University. With 12 years of competitive dance experience, she specializes in kinesiology, choreography and performance. Recently an Associate Member of the Society of Russian Ballet, embracing the Vaganova Ballet Syllabus, her background includes an editorial internship at The Dance Current Magazine, performances in Dawson City, Yukon in can-can, jazz, tap and aerial work, and performing as a company member in TDC Entertainment.

Miles Gosse

Co-Artistic Director & Instructor

Toronto-based dance artist with a BFA Specialized Honours in Dance and a concurrent Bachelor of Education from York University, both completed in 2014. He began training at Wexford Collegiate School of the Arts in Musical Theatre. His work as a performer and choreographer has appeared in Dance Ontario Weekend, the 60x60 Festival, New Blue Dance, Nuit Blanche, and both the Toronto and Hamilton Fringe Festivals. He is Co-Artistic Director of Half Second Echo and a member of Edge of the Sky Theatre.

Justine Comfort

Acro Instructor & Choreographer

Toronto-based independent dance artist who graduated from York University with a BFA in Dance and a certificate in Dance Science, earning the Dance Scholars Award. A founding member of Half Second Echo, she began teaching Acro at Expressions Dance Company in 2007. Now teaching various styles and conditioning across the GTA, she holds certifications in Conditioning with Imagery for Dancers and Limón Modern Technique, and is completing a BSc in Kinesiology at York University.

Melissa Truman

Ballet Instructor & Choreographer

Southern Ontario-based dancer, educator and choreographer with a distinguished 10-year competitive career including World Championship titles and multiple awards. A York University alumna, she graduated Cum Laude in 2014 with a BFA in Dance, focusing on dance pedagogy and somatic practices. She is an Associate with the Society of Russian Ballet and a certified Acrobatic Arts Instructor, has performed professionally including for Cirque du Soleil, and is co-founder of Forma Contemporary Dance.

Serena Henriquez

Dance Instructor & Choreographer

Her dance journey began at age 2 with pre-dance at Toronto Dance Industry, continuing through 15 years of competitive dance. By age 12 she became an assistant teacher. In 2018 she joined the Canadian National Tap Team, winning two medals at the IDO World Tap Championships. Trained in various styles, she specializes in tap and recently completed the Tap Dance Centre's syllabus by Kim Chalovich.

Jean Balallo

Dance Instructor & Choreographer

She started dancing at age 3, excelling in Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary and other styles through competition and studio work. After high school she joined a professional dance company and trained in Los Angeles with top choreographers. She is currently studying Kinesiology at York University with the goal of specializing in physical therapy for dancers.

Chris Gallina

Hip Hop Instructor & Choreographer

A seasoned dance teacher and choreographer with over 10 years of experience. His career spans performances across Canada, the USA, Singapore, the UAE and China at events including World of Dance, The Choreographers Ball and Raise The Bar. He has opened for artists like Massari and Mia Martina, performed in live productions of The Jungle Book across multiple countries, and collaborated with major brands including WestJet, Scotiabank and Walmart, plus appearances in music videos and commercials.

Marisa Rubiales Yepes

Dance Instructor & Choreographer

She began dancing at four, training in ballet at Dancercise in Brampton and excelling in Royal Academy of Dance exams. She discovered a passion for stage performance at age 10, training in various dance styles. She completed the Regional Arts Program at St. Thomas Aquinas High School with musical theatre and vocal training, holds a Bachelor's in Media Studies and Communications from Western University, and currently works as a hair and makeup artist in the Toronto film industry while instructing and choreographing.

Gina Medina

Ballet Instructor & Choreographer

A graduate of the Teacher Training Program at Canada's National Ballet School, having trained with world-leading professionals in dance. She holds a teaching Diploma and certificate from Canada's National Ballet School plus Associate credentials in The Cecchetti Society of Canada, the Royal Academy of Dance, the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, Associated Dance Arts for Professional Teachers, and the Canadian Dance Teachers Association.

Jane Ongaro

Acrobatique Acro Dance Instructor

She began dancing at age 3, training through high school in all dance styles with a focus on acro. Trained in R.A.D ballet, she completed examinations into advanced levels. Teaching since 2010 in both recreational and competitive programs for ages 3 to adult, her competitive routines have achieved many overall awards and choreography recognition. She has worked with TDC Entertainment performing in shows across the GTA including the 2016 Inachus World Cup opening ceremony, Toronto Illuminite and the Terminal 3 opening at Pearson International Airport.
